Hi, my name is Jon.

I am the owner, manager, receptionist, accountant, surveyor and part time wood machinist, bench joiner and delivery driver etc. For Sash Windows Trade.

It all started for me back in the early 1990s when we bought our first house – a Victorian railway cottage with all its traditional features including the original sash windows.

It was the middle of a freezing cold February when we moved in and we quickly realised that our lovely sash windows were, in fact, pretty useless.

To cut a long story short, it was after a few cold and draughty years that I discovered that some products were available to improve the performance of sash windows, and so I got busy installing a draughtproofing system into our windows.

Soon after this I set up my own business draughtproofing and repairing sash windows. This evolved into supplying and fitting replacement windows which led to us having our own workshop.

Sometime around 2010 I received an  enquiry from a local sash window company asking if I would supply them with our products.

One thing led to another and in 2012 I set up Sash Windows Trade.

We now have a dedicated workshop set up specifically for making sash and casement windows with our own paint spraying facility and a separate workshop for the glazing and finishing.

What I am trying to say, is that for the last 25 years I have worked in all aspects of the sash window industry. I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience that enables me to help and advise my customers on all aspects of the job, from designing replacement windows, to tricky installations, I am happy to help.

I take great pride in the quality of our product, and the high standard of customer service that we provide along with it.
